When Dr. Gerald Bronson, Sr. married Dr. Mary W. Bronson and established The Bronson Clinic, the profession was still in its infancy, only 30 years after the "discovery" of chiropractic.

That "discovery" happened in 1895 when D.D. Palmer deduced that misalignment of the spine can have an adverse effect on the nervous system. On a hunch, he offered to try his idea of adjusting the spine on a janitor named Harvey Lillard. The two soon experienced one of the miracles that can occur with an adjustment of a vertebral misalignment (subluxation). The deaf man began to hear again, and Dr. Palmer coined the term "chiropractic" (translates as "practice by hand").

So the early Drs. Bronson attended the Texas Chiropractic College and established one of the pioneer practices. After relocating from Ranger, Texas to the big city of Fort Worth, the clinic became one of the largest in the state, serving up to 80 patients per day. Unfortunately, this quite unsettled the medical community.

"They're practicing medicine without a license!" they protested.

So then the State of Texas (along with all 50 states) issued licenses specifically to Doctors of Chiropractic. Slowly but surely The Bronson Clinic began to experience acceptance and a high level of credibility. Many influential Fort Worth residents sought chiropractic care, with or without the blessing of their medical doctor. They brought their family members in, and recommended that their friends get chiropractic health care from the Bronson Clinic.

Now, three generations later, the grandson (Dr. Mark Bronson) has the honor of treating the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of those fine people. The chiropractic profession continues to thrive and grow around the world because of people like that who do what's "naturally right" for themselves and their loved ones.

The Bronson Clinic was established in 1925 and has a three-generation history of serving Fort Worth families. Dr. Mark Bronson has maintained a busy "word-of-mouth" referral practice for over 24 years and is still the only chiropractor in Fort Worth who is board certified in all three areas of orthopedics, pain management, and disability analysis.

Our friendly staff takes a genuine interest in each and every patient to ensure that our services are more than one would expect. The clinic is large to allow plenty of room for the entire family.

Dr. Bronson also graciously accepts referrals from other chiropractic doctors, as well as medical doctors and surgeons, for specialty evaluations or treatment. He knows many, if not most, of the doctors in town, and sends out quality reports to keep the referral doctor informed.

We are on the preferred provider list of many managed care plans and discount plans in order to make chiropractic care more affordable to our patients.
